No more wading through pages and pages of text when you are trying to look up information...
Not only will we publish all of Dr. Filly’s complete lectures but also real world "at the workstation" case reviews and teaching files in concise video format that gets right to the point of what you really need to know!
"Roy Filly is really the founder of modern obstetrical ultrasound"
"He is one of the few who were there and the beginning but is still relevant today"
Beryl Benacerraf, MD
Past Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine
Former Director of Ultrasound Brigham and Women's/Mass General Hospital
Our Cardiac Lecture has been watched by over 3000 students
What people are saying....
"Your lecture is the best educational material I've ever seen. I feel indebted to you"
"I have seen the lecture probably more than 20 times and every time I learn something new. It has changed my approach to all routine obstetric cases"
There are just certain things that you can't find by searching the web or reading a book!
This is why we'll take our own and some of your "real life" cases and discuss the nuances and how to interpret what's going on.
You'll be able to gain insights similar to how a UCSF fellow is trained and not just learn the information, but learn how to think from someone who has mentored some of the greatest teachers out there today!
This website is a partnership with Roy's son, Tony, who had the distinct pleasure and honor of being the final fellow that the senior Dr. Filly trained as head of ultrasound prior to becoming an emeritus professor.
Currently, Tony Filly is in private practice but also on the clinical faculty at Stanford where he was voted
Clinical Faculty "Teacher of the Year" in 2014 and 2015.
Having been in private practice now for more than 10 years, he knows many of the pains of general radiologists and obstetricians, as well as community sonographers who don’t get to see multiple cases of congenital anomalies every day at a tertiary care hospital like UCSF.
Tony will get to “act” as the fellow in our teaching and readout sessions.
"I have already learned a ton in what we’ve produced so far and am excited to keep learning right along with everyone else. You might even find it funny to watch me fall on my face every once in a while during the Q/A teaching sessions! Oh well, it’s worth it!
Even though I’ve been lecturing at UCSF courses and the Stanford residency program for a long time, I feel like I’ve still only scratched the surface of my dad’s knowledge!"
Anthony L. Filly, MD
Chief of Radiology, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninisula
Adjunct Clinical Faculty, Stanford University
"Roy set a model for clear thinking and teaching that I still try to emulate"
Debbie Levine, MD
World renounced lecturer and former fellow of Dr. Filly
Co-Chief, Ultrasound, Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical School
Professor of Radiology, Harvard Medical School
That’s all fine and good, but what does some super-expert know about my day to day struggles?
While some lecturers strive to make what they do seem important, yet unattainable, only to be performed by elite in the “white towers”, Dr. Filly’s lectures are always meant to empower the student!
"Roy's presentations always left you with a deep understanding and at the same time, making it all seem so simple"
Maitray Patel, MD
