- If you have a good 4- chamber view (4-Chamber Heart View) simply slide toward the fetal head and you should have the perfect 3 vessel view
caveat to rule 3: the pulmonary artery and aorta are about the same size
- The pulmonary artery can be slightly larger than the aorta
- The aorta can be the same size as the pulmonary artery
- The aorta should NEVER be LARGER than the pulmonary artery (most common cause is Tetralogy of Fallot)
so how small is too small for the aorta?
- The aorta should be mid-range in size between the SVC and pulmonary artery
