It's like having an expert at your fingertips
It's like having an expert at your fingertips
I’ll never forget the moment that I came across a set of online videos by by Dr. Clyde Helms, one of the great teachers the field of radiology.
As soon as I saw these videos and the way he was presenting the material, I knew right away that this format was the future of the way post-graduate imaging should be taught!

How many times have you thought…
"Wait, They never covered this in school?"
"Wait, They never covered this in school?"
Problem #1:
In the real world, you soon realize that while what you focused on was important, but not necessarily what you would deal with on a regular basis.
In the real world, you soon realize that while what you focused on was important, but not necessarily what you would deal with on a regular basis.
Watching Clyde’s videos, I immediately realized that
he was covering the stuff I actually needed to know!
What do people focus on while learning OB ultrasound?
CCAMs, Holoprosencephy, or other bizarre anomalies…
What are you shown a lot of in lectures?
A bunch of classic pictures of endometriomas and
you leave the course or graduate thinking “they all look just like this”…
But we all know what happens in the real world…
You're often just trying to figure out if something is normal or if it’s something you need to worry about.
As I started watching Clyde read real shoulder MRI’s, I quickly began to appreciate the subtle variants of normal and abnormal,
my confidence and abilities skyrocketed in a very short period of time.

There is a huge difference between this and watching a lecture about rotator cuff tears where someone showing a few “classic" images.
Problem #2:
Where is the only place people tend to get this type of education?
FELLOWSHIP
Where is the only place people tend to get this type of education?
FELLOWSHIP
Well, I was fortunate enough to do a fellowship in ultrasound with one of the greatest teachers of radiology that I’ve ever come across…
My dad… Roy Filly.
My dad… Roy Filly.
"Roy Filly is really the founder of modern obstetrical ultrasound"
Beryl Benacerraf
President, AIUM
So, I had an idea…..
I talked him into doing the same type of thing with ultrasound that Clyde was doing with musculoskeletal MRI…
Since dad is not getting any younger and has decided to retire from public lecturing, I wanted to record ALL of his lectures
The content of these alone will put anyone who watched them head and shoulders above almost anyone else
but I wanted to take that extra step of creating an online fellowship style environment, and ….

Dr. Roy Filly is the co-founder of the fetal treatment program and founder of the ultrasound department at UCSF and ran one of the most sought after ultrasound fellowships in the country for over 35 years and has been one of the most sought after ultrasound lecturers of the last several decades.

Now we are bringing that knowledge to you right in your home or on your mobile device with...
"Roy set a model for clear thinking and teaching that I still try to emulate"
Debbie Levine, MD
World renounced lecturer and former fellow of Dr. Filly
Co-Chief, Ultrasound, Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical School
Professor of Radiology, Harvard Medical School
You might be thinking....
What does some super-expert know about my day to day struggles? While some lecturers strive to make what they do seem important, yet unattainable, only to be performed by elite in the “white towers”, Dr. Filly’s lectures are always meant to empower the student! |
"Roy's presentations always left you with a deep understanding and at the same time, making it all seem so simple" Maitray Patel, MD |
As one of our "minifellows", you'll get much of the same teaching as Dr. Filly’s former fellows and residents who include some of the most well-known and influential educators of our time...
Peter Callen (Roy's first fellow and longtime partner)
Debbie Levine (Professor of Radiology - Harvard)
Brooke Jefferey (Vice Chair Radiology - Stanford)
Gary Glazer (Former Chair of Radiology - Stanford)
Ruth Goldstein (Section Cheif of Ultrasound - UCSF)
Vicki Feldstein (Professor of Radiology - UCSF)
and many more

Our Cardiac Lecture has already been watched by over 3000 students
What people are saying.... "Your lecture is the best educational material I've ever seen... I feel indebted to you" "I have seen the lecture probably more than 20 times and every time I learn something new. It has changed my approach to all routine obstetric cases" |
This website is a partnership with Roy's son, Tony, who had the distinct pleasure and honor of being the final fellow that the senior Dr. Filly trained as head of ultrasound prior to becoming an emeritus professor.
Currently, Tony Filly is in private practice but also on the clinical faculty at Stanford where he was voted
Clinical Faculty "Teacher of the Year" in 2014 and 2015.
Having been in private practice now for more than 10 years, he knows many of the pains of general radiologists and obstetricians, as well as community sonographers who don’t get to see multiple cases of congenital anomalies every day at a tertiary care hospital like UCSF.
Tony will get to “act” as the fellow in our teaching and readout sessions.

"I have already learned a ton in what we’ve produced so far and am excited to keep learning right along with everyone else. You might even find it funny to watch me fall on my face every once in a while during the Q/A teaching sessions! Oh well, it’s worth it!
Even though I’ve been lecturing at UCSF courses and the Stanford residency program for a long time, I feel like I’ve still only scratched the surface of my dad’s knowledge!"
Anthony L. Filly, MD
Chief of Radiology, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninisula
Adjunct Clinical Faculty, Stanford University

I know, the big question.... How much does it cost?
A lot less than you think!
For less than the price of a Venti Caramel Frappucino every month, you’ll have full access the our constantly growing content.
Why so inexpensive?
You may be asking yourself... If this is so good, why is it so cheap.
Like you, we were sick of the $800 video lecture DVD series out there that you watch once or twice and then it's outdated. We wanted this information to be available to everyone who was interested at a price that would essentially be a "no-brainer." While at the same time growing the content to what our members really want and are asking for.
